About this collection

Many unique personalities, institutions and special events constitute the rich history of ACICS and its precursor organizations. The business of accreditation over more than a century produced hundreds of valuable images that illustrate and elaborate on the legacy of quality assurance. The collection contains hundreds of unique one-of-a-kind images, originals and half-tones, culled from ACICS' archives and periodicals. They include group photos of organizational officials, candid photos of important historic events, and individual photos of commissioners, school officials and others who are integral to the history of ACICS.  For a more elaborate narrative describing the context for many of these images, please visit the Historical Monographs Collection.
