Proposed Amendment No. 545, 8- 1 1. Under the proposed amendment any Federal Savings and Loan Association would be authorized: (a) to make loans for the payment of expenses of college or university education (b) to be used by a full-time student (c) in an amount not to exceed $10, 000 (d) to be repayable in not more than 10 years or twice the period in school, which ever is the lesser. Remember, these student loans will be handled and processed locally by your local savings and loan offices whose association is regulated by the Federal Home Loan Bank Board in Washington, D. C.
